  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a focus in chemical/biochemical engineering or related discipline required
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in Manufacturing/Process Engineering, previous management experience preferred
  • Previous experience in the Life Science industry preferred, GMP experience a plus
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement preferred
  • Highly qualified applicants with less experience will be considered
  • Motivated and self-directed team player with good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products; ability to learn additional software applications as the need arises
Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of engineers responsible for supporting both daily and future needs of manufacturing
  • Provide technical support and coaching to team members
  • Desire and ability to provide hands-on equipment support in manufacturing lab
  • Identify capacity concerns and drive solutions to eliminate bottlenecks
  • Identify areas for automation as a means of improving productivity, efficiency, and profitability
  • Demonstrated ability to work well within cross-functional teams as both a team player and a leader
  • Demonstrated analytical and creative thinker with interpersonal skills
  • Manage projects related to implementation and design of larger scale equipment and processes into manufacturing
  • Train new employees as well as MFG associates on relevant equipment and processes
