Mill.com provides a solution for managing food waste by transforming food scraps into a useful resource. Their main product is a device that dries and grinds food waste, which they call a "magical bottomless kitchen bin." This bin operates quietly and only needs to be emptied once a month, eliminating unpleasant odors. Mill.com targets environmentally conscious households in the continental U.S. with a subscription plan that costs about a dollar a day, making it accessible for many consumers. The processed food waste, known as "Food Grounds," can be used as animal feed, particularly for chickens, offering an alternative to traditional composting. Mill.com differentiates itself from competitors by providing a user-friendly solution that aligns with EPA recommendations for food waste utilization. The company's goal is to reduce the environmental impact of food waste, which is a significant contributor to global warming.
