Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Dietetics or a related field, or a bachelor's degree if licensed prior to 2024.
  • One year of experience as a Registered Dietitian in a clinical setting is preferred.
  • Obtain and maintain state certification, with up to 90 days after hire allowed.
  • Understand Joint Commission and other regulatory agency compliance regulations.
  • Complete formal crisis prevention and intervention training within 60 days of hire, with annual recertification.
  • Complete CBRF first aid, fire safety, and standard precautions within 90 days of hire when working in a Community Based Residential Facility, Residential Care Center program, or pool staff role.
  • Obtain American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR certification within 30 days of hire, with annual recertification.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee nutrition care for inpatients, residents, and outpatients.
  • Perform nutritional assessments and manage physician orders for therapeutic diets.
  • Provide individual and group nutrition interventions while considering cultural, ethnic, and personal preferences.
  • Participate in an interdisciplinary team to monitor and revise nutrition care plans as needed.
  • Provide age-appropriate care to patients.
  • Conduct nutrition assessments and follow-ups for patients at increased risk according to organizational policies and best-practice standards, documenting care in the Electronic Health Record.
  • Perform the nutrition care process, including assessments, diagnoses, interventions, and monitoring and evaluation.
  • Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans based on patients’ medical goals and objectives.
  • Recommend transitional feedings between enteral and oral intake and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team on administration of nutrition therapies.
  • Educate patients and family members about nutritional needs as indicated.
  • Serve as a resource for medical staff and allied health professionals regarding nutritional status and needs.
  • Adhere to organizational policies and procedures, including confidentiality and patients’ rights.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care.
  • Participate in the Rogers Operating Systems program and follow standard workflow processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory guidelines.
  • Observe weekend on-call and holiday rotation expectations.
  • Partner with culinary staff to ensure modified diets are accurate and address patient concerns.
  • Meet Clinical Dietitian I annual requirements within 12 months of hire as outlined in the Registered Dietitian Clinical Ladder Portfolio Checklist.
