Responsibilities
The technologist ensures patient comfort and safety during the MRI scan.
The technologist is responsible for operating the MRI machine, selecting appropriate imaging techniques, and adjusting settings to obtain high-quality images.
The technologist performs the scanning procedure, ensuring proper positioning and image quality. They also inspect images for clarity and identify any issues requiring adjustments.
The technologist screens patients for contraindications to MRI, such as implanted devices or pregnancy, and takes necessary precautions to ensure safety.
The technologist completes necessary documentation for each scan, including patient information, scan parameters, and any observations.
The technologist will be responsible for working in their assigned location and must be knowledgeable in setting up the mobile MRI unit.
The technologist may assist with transporting patients to and from the MRI area.
The technologist collaborates with radiologists, healthcare professionals, and other office staff to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
