Requirements
  • At least 7 years of experience with missile weapon systems, including at least one year of instructional experience in a military or training environment.
  • Proven operational experience with the Aegis Weapon System and SM6 Missile.
  • Experience training military personnel, maintaining curricula, writing learning objectives, and preparing test items for missile systems.
  • Ability to discuss operational concepts related to the Aegis Combat System, SM6 Missiles, and related systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally and work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to research, design, and develop training content for prototype systems using incomplete, evolving, or conceptual information.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance.
  • A current and valid U.S. passport.
  • Ability to lift system components weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to walk or stand for extended periods during training sessions.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and conduct training on the Aegis Weapon System, Tactical Tomahawk Weapons Control System, Typhon Weapon System, and SM6 Missiles in classroom and tactical laboratory environments.
  • Develop and maintain lesson plans, training materials, tests, student handouts, and critical task lists for missile weapon systems.
  • Provide instruction on operational concepts, system capabilities, limitations, and tactical employment, aligned with current U.S. Government doctrine and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures.
  • Develop missile-system curricula, incorporating lessons learned and maintaining materials according to current operational requirements.
  • Mitigate risks during training events and provide solutions for successful outcomes.
  • Work with senior management to assist in administering, developing, and evaluating training programs and instructional materials.
  • Administer training, ensure training objectives are met through formal assessments, and counsel students on academic and technical challenges.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with curriculum development for missile systems such as AIM I, AIM II, CPM/LOM, or similar programs.
  • Experience with the Mid-Range Capability Weapon System.
  • Combat Systems Training Team experience.
  • SM6 Missile experience and expertise in missile-system fielding and training.
  • Qualification as a military instructor.
  • Master training specialist qualification.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
