Senior Systems Engineer

Specific Position Duties

• Lead, support, define & write engineering documentation: test and validation plans, system test requirements, SOC, verification and validation matrix, design description, and test procedures.
• Animate and/or participate in cross-functional teams.
• Production of relevant Electrical Ground Support Equipment documentation, as needed.
• Attend test reviews: TRR, TRB, DRB, and NCRs.
• Support system testing: Electrical Ground Support Equipment, Test supervision, data analysis.
• Support system tests at S/C supplier premises or selected test house.

Qualifications for Position

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in VV and Space Systems electrical testing, communications and/or remote sensing satellites.
• Knowledge of Array Antenna with multiple active elements and knowledge of various modulation types, signal processing and networking will be considered favorably.
• Proven experience in leading and/or coordinating a set of activities up to tasks delivery.
• Experience with laboratory instrumentation such as: Performance Network analyzer, High sampling oscilloscope, Spectrum analyzer, Arbitrary waveform generator, and Modems.
• Knowledge of Signal Processing theory.
• Knowledge of Orbital Mechanic and Spacecraft modes.
• Knowledge of Satellite Bus Sub-systems such as EPS, C&DH, PROP, TT&C, Avionics.
• Knowledge/experience in the following programming languages: MATLAB and Python.
• Knowledge of communication protocols such CANbus, SpaceWire, and SPI serial link.
• Good personal, written and verbal communication skills; sense of ownership and leadership.
• English required, French fluency would be an asset.
