  • At least 8 years of experience in the information technology industry, including a minimum of 2 years focused on Active Directory solutions.
  • Experience designing scalable Active Directory environments, migrating to modern Active Directory environments, and consolidating or restructuring Active Directory environments for better alignment.
  • Experience with security protocols, Active Directory security auditing, and zero-trust models.
  • Experience with scripting and automation in PowerShell and other automation tools.
  • Experience with Identity and Access Management solutions, role-based access control, and multi-factor authentication.
  • Experience with backup solutions and disaster recovery.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and optimization.
  • Experience with enterprise-level deployments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A proven track record of successfully delivering complex technical projects.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A consultative mindset and the ability to integrate complex elements and customer requirements into innovative technical architectures.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in the deployment approach and functional, technical, and operational aspects of Active Directory projects.
  • Support broader team thought leadership on Active Directory architectures, including forests, domains, trees, trusts, and replication topologies.
  • Design, implement, and troubleshoot Group Policy Management.
  • Architect, configure, and manage Active Directory Federation Services.
  • Architect, configure, and manage Active Directory Certificate Services, including hands-on certificate lifecycle management experience.
  • Apply Active Directory security practices involving role-based access, delegation, least-privilege access, administrative tiering, and enterprise access models.
  • Manage Active Directory Sites and Services, including replication, configuration, and multi-site and multi-forest environments.
  • Integrate on-premises Active Directory with Entra ID in hybrid identity environments, including Entra Connect Sync, Entra Cloud Sync, and identity management.
  • Implement and configure identity governance solutions, including Entra ID Governance, access reviews, entitlement management, lifecycle workflows, privileged identity management, conditional access, and audit and reporting in compliance with organizational policies.
  • Assist practice leadership in evaluating emerging technology, products, and industry trends for business strategy.
  • Support practice leadership and business development in evaluating and recommending technologies, tools, and platforms for projects of all sizes and complexities, and communicate recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Develop comprehensive architecture plans addressing system integrations, data flows, and infrastructure needs, with a focus on scalability, security, and performance.
  • Create detailed architecture and design documents aligned with business objectives and technical constraints.
  • Oversee solution implementation, ensure development teams follow architectural plans, and address implementation issues.
  • Maintain project documentation, including architectural designs, decisions, changes, diagrams, specifications, and guidelines.
  • Identify and mitigate risks during architecture and design phases and develop strategies for potential challenges.
  • Communicate technical concepts and solutions in writing and verbally to technical and non-technical stakeholders, facilitate discussions, and provide guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure solutions meet quality standards and perform as expected; conduct reviews, provide feedback, and suggest improvements to maintain architectural guidelines and enhance practices.
  • Ensure solutions comply with relevant regulations, standards, and organizational policies and address compliance issues.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and delivery leaders to align architecture with project goals and integrate with existing systems.
  • Engage in training, development, coaching, and selection of less experienced team members, providing leadership and guidance.
  • Perform other duties as required.

  • Professional certifications such as Microsoft Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator Associate, Information Technology Infrastructure Library, or Certified Information Systems Security Professional.
