Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, or a related field, or an MD, PharmD, PhD, RPh, or equivalent life science degree is required.
  • Industry experience is desired.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools such as Microsoft Project is required.
  • Proficiency in Excel is required.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to manage complex projects is required.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines is required.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities are required.
Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining milestones, deliverables, and timelines, and ensure that all activities align with the overall strategy.
  • Facilitate and/or assist in the generation and presentation of monthly reports or dashboards for medical affairs segments and/or workstreams.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders, and communicate project progress, issues, and solutions effectively.
  • Identify and request necessary resources, including personnel, technology, and financial assets, to ensure project success.
  • Identify potential risks associated with project activities and develop strategies to mitigate them, while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring that expenditure aligns with the financial goals of the projects.
  • Assist in financial management and update activities in partnership with senior management and client project managers.
  • Lead operational aspects of medical affairs workstream projects across cross-functional teams, providing guidance and support to achieve project objectives.
  • Facilitate collaboration and resolve conflicts as they arise.
  • Establish key performance indicators and track the performance of medical affairs projects and/or workstreams, making adjustments as necessary to stay on target.
  • Lead change management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions for all stakeholders involved in the project.
  • Support the client project manager in monitoring and supporting strategic plan key performance indicators and milestones.
  • Provide therapeutic area knowledge support and clarification of science as needed.
  • Conduct and evaluate literature searches and analyze scientific literature as needed.
  • Provide ad hoc support according to client requirements.
Desired Qualifications
  • An MBA is preferred with a background in life sciences or pharma.
  • PMP certification is preferred.
