Responsibilities
  • Complete tasks assigned by Senior Network Engineer
  • Install, configure, and support local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), Agency Internet Network (AIN), Intranet and Internet
  • Maintain network hardware and software; monitor network availability
  • Provide support to projects that involve networks
  • Provide installation and operational support of voice and data communications hardware and software systems
  • Design, develop, implement, test, debug, and maintain communications systems
  • Perform configuration of operating system and security patches
  • Implement incident response procedures during security breaches
  • Comply with customer, industry and agency standards
  • Ensure technical integrity of work performed
  • Analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues and provide solutions
  • Act as lead in defining and executing systems engineering activities
  • Manage the transition and migration of networks
Desired Qualifications
  • Willingness to attain a CI Polygraph
  • Position may require lifting of objects (i.e. IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e. plug in cables) and other moderately strenuous activity
  • Travel may be required to support the mission
