Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience providing supervision and performance management over staff.
  • Experience working in an enrollment services department in Higher Education.
  • Experience working with Banner or a related student information system.
  • U.S. Citizenship or lawful permanent residence of the United States, as required by Federal law Homeland Security to serve as PDSO or DSO.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Academic Records and International Student Support team, including handling special registrations such as interinstitutional registrations, internships, auditing courses, pass/fail options; Fresh Start program administration; grades; major/minor changes; maintaining and releasing academic records; administrative withdrawals; institutional corrections; and related activities.
  • Administer storage, security, accuracy, and preservation of academic records in accordance with university policy, accreditation standards, and privacy laws.
  • Oversee system solutions such as National Student Clearinghouse, automation, and developing Workflows.
  • Provide leadership and management including setting goals and objectives, work allocation, promotion, continuous updates, enforcement, training on related policies/procedures, and addressing concerns/issues.
  • Support on-campus daily operations and assist the Workday Student implementation over the coming years.
  • Provide clear expectations and ensure practices meet needs of students, faculty, and staff; develop timely, accurate, student/staff friendly communications; interpret, clarify, and apply policies related to records, registration, and international student compliance; communicate to students, staff, and academic departments.
  • Represent the organization at campus meetings, committees, and task forces; promote policies; participate in commencement activities; collaborate with Information Technology on upgrades, testing, coordination of solutions and corrective actions.
  • Support students, academic advisors, staff, faculty, and administrators by interpreting University policies related to academic records and graduation requirements.
  • Collaborate with campus departments and other institutions to create Memoranda of Understanding for seamless cross-institutional matriculation pathways.
  • Work with Enrollment Management Team, Student Affairs, and Academic Affairs to propose, analyze, and update policies related to academic records.
  • Anticipate impact of policies created by CDHE and/or Faculty Senate and communicate them to team, faculty, staff, and students.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all internal and external inquiries to the Academic Records and ISS team.

  • Experience working in a Registrar’s Office.
  • Experience working with varied visa statuses and federal regulations as they pertain to international students.
  • Excellent oral and written skills.
  • Experience and working knowledge of FERPA.
  • Superior student and customer-focused skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
  • Experience developing and identifying policies and procedures towards improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience working both independently and collaboratively on a team.
  • Experience serving as a Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) or Designated School Official (DSO).
