The selected candidate will serve as the Cyber and Information Systems (C&IS) Business Unit (BU) Security Manager with overall security management responsibility for the Operating Units (OUs) under the BU, and the programs under those OUs. The C&IS BU is a complex and dynamic BU, which has locations across Maryland, Virginia, Ohio, Colorado, California, Florida, and Texas. The C&IS BU Security Manager reports directly to the Networked Information Solutions (NIS) Division Security Director.
This position requires significant depth of knowledge and experience in all disciplines of the industrial security field, including within the DoD collateral, SAP, and SCI security environments across multiple customers. The candidate must be able to serve as a senior security advisor to senior leaders, coach and develop other security leaders and security professionals, and lead successful security programs.
The C&IS BU Security Manager must have excellent communication and collaboration skills. They will be required to effectively interface with all levels of personnel across NG sectors, divisions, BUs, OUs, programs, and external organizations.
Successful performance in this role will also require excellent leadership characteristics and behaviors, to build, maintain, and support, a diverse and dynamic team of security professionals. Managing through change and ensuring strong security performance across the BU’s portfolio, is a critical component of this role.
The C&IS BU Security Manager must demonstrate professionalism, collaboration, and adaptability to change. Also possess a breadth of demonstrated business, financial, and management skills, knowledge, and abilities to ensure maximum effectiveness.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 8 years Industrial Security experience and Bachelor degree, or 6 years Industrial Security experience and MS Degree. An additional 4 years of applicable work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.
5+ years managerial experience in a mid-size to large size organization.
Current Top Secret/SCI with polygraph.
Ability to travel approximately 25%.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree, and corresponding Industrial Security and management experience.
Prior experience with leadership and management of professional staff, demonstrating strong delegation skills to efficiently accomplish mission and professionally develop subordinate staff.
Effectively deal with complex personnel issues and effectively coach and mentor direct reports. Effectively balance the needs of the business, employees and customers.
Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals.
Organizational and planning skills; ability to multi-task; attention to detail; productive without compromising quality.
Ability to manage multiple budgets in order to meet both operational and fiscal objectives.
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines while managing internal customer expectations and resetting accordingly.
Ability to set and balance short and long-term priorities and remain focused within a rigorous, fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Ability to manage conflict and resolve team member issues effectively and efficiently.
Salary Range: $149,400.00 - $224,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
