Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline or three or more years of equivalent experience.
  • Three or more years of experience working in a Cybersecurity Service Provider, security operations center, or similar environment, or a bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II and CSSP-specific certifications, including CND and 8140 certifications.
  • Experience with intrusion detection and prevention systems, host-based logging, and operating system logging solutions.
  • Familiarity with CJCSM 6510.01B.
  • Analytical ability and strong verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Continuously monitor network and host-based systems within a Cybersecurity Service Provider environment.
  • Identify and validate suspicious activities.
  • Escalate security incidents as required.
  • Provide support for foundational incident-response procedures.
  • Comply accurately and promptly with established reporting requirements.
  • Assist in managing incident response by documenting and tracking incident details.
  • Participate in training to develop familiarity with tools and processes.
  • Support log-correlation tasks using Splunk, Elastic, and Sentinel.
  • Assist with program reviews and product evaluations as directed.
  • Provide surge support for incident-response actions.

  • Knowledge of incident-response methodologies and procedures.
  • Experience with digital forensics, threat hunting, and/or incident response.
