Requirements
  • The candidate must have a demonstrated track record of solid sales results, including life, health, annuity, and investment results.
  • The candidate must have experience using the Thrivent Financial Advice Process, Salesforce, and other Thrivent tools and systems, including CAP and Illustrations, and must be able and willing to model, promote, and demonstrate their usage as needed.
  • The candidate must have previous experience attracting others.
  • The candidate must be willing and able to commit to joint field work expectations.
  • The candidate must have experience leading groups, specifically presenting and facilitating to drive understanding of concepts and practices that lead to new financial professional success.
  • The candidate must hold FINRA Series 7 and Series 63/65 or 66 licenses, or obtain them within 90 days.
  • The candidate must be state insurance licensed and appointed in life, health, and variable lines of authority, or attain those licenses within 90 days.
  • The candidate must be state securities registered and insurance licensed and appointed in all states comprising the Advisor Group.
  • Once financial professionals are assigned to the position, the candidate must maintain securities registrations, state insurance licenses, and appointments in all states where those financial professionals conduct business and receive commissions.
  • The candidate must pass a satisfactory background check and have a clean compliance record.
  • The candidate must be flexible to travel within the Advisor Group, potentially overnight, and conduct business during evening hours.
  • The candidate must have their own automobile for business purposes.
  • The candidate must have a demonstrated track record of satisfactory performance.
Responsibilities
  • The candidate grows the market by attracting high-quality, diverse talent into financial professional roles.
  • The candidate ensures new financial professionals receive the tools, resources, and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • The candidate creates and implements a recruiting strategy to grow capacity by attracting and cultivating quality, diverse financial professional candidates in the focus market.
  • The candidate executes a recruiting plan by developing trusting relationships within broad and diverse networks, leveraging centers of influence, and obtaining referrals from financial professionals.
  • The candidate partners with Thrivent leaders and key stakeholders to develop a capacity plan and understand recruiting and selection systems.
  • The candidate actively manages a pipeline of high-quality, diverse candidates.
  • The candidate conducts selection interviews and assesses candidates for a high probability of success.
  • The candidate creates followership by demonstrating enthusiasm for the career and Thrivent and caring about the success of others.
  • The candidate demonstrates mastery of the Thrivent Financial Advice Process and models and coaches all its elements.
  • The candidate conducts approximately three days per week of joint field work with new financial professionals to observe, provide feedback, and assist with case preparation as needed.
  • The candidate demonstrates, models, and coaches the use of Salesforce and other Thrivent tools, including CAP and Illustrations, during the sales process.
  • The candidate helps financial professionals develop goals, meets with new financial professionals to discuss progress, analyzes what is and is not working, and identifies ways to overcome challenges.
  • The candidate helps financial professionals develop and execute marketing plans that leverage natural-market relationships, referrals, and communities.
  • The candidate informs and communicates with the leadership team regarding new and veteran financial professionals' progress toward goals and success.
  • The candidate facilitates connections between new and veteran financial professionals for additional joint field work or practice experiences.
  • The candidate connects with corporate resources to stay informed about best practices and changes affecting recruiting, launch, and veteran financial professionals.
  • The candidate uses technology effectively with financial professionals to assist in coaching and training.
  • The candidate builds a plan with the Community Engagement team and others to grow the market and identifies communities or congregations to target using generosity and other marketing programs.
  • The candidate builds and maintains relationships with leaders within the Christian community and centers of influence.
