Principal Solutions Architect

The Solutions Architect will utilize their experience and knowledge of Invoice Cloud technology, industry standards, and engineering principles to assess technical options and design high quality solutions for new software partners and clients.

This position involves collaborating with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative payment solutions that align with business objectives. As a leader in the architecture team, the Principal Solutions Architect sets the technical direction for payment systems, drives the adoption of best practices, and ensures solutions meet regulatory and compliance standards.

What You’ll Do:

• Strategic Design and Architecture: Lead the development of comprehensive solution architectures that align with business objectives, focusing on scalability, security, and performance. Ensure that all designs are adaptable to evolving technologies and business needs.
• Enterprise Integration Strategy: Collaborate with executive stakeholders, partners, and clients to understand their strategic goals and create integration roadmaps that align with long-term business strategies.
• Solution Governance: Establish and enforce architectural standards, best practices, and governance frameworks to ensure the consistency and quality of solution implementations across projects and teams.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Work closely with project managers, solution engineers, and development teams to size, scope, and plan large-scale integration efforts. Provide guidance on technical direction and architectural decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Innovation and Optimization: Continuously evaluate and refine existing integration designs, identifying opportunities for innovation and optimization to enhance functionality, performance, and market reach.
• Technical Expertise and Mentorship: Serve as the technical authority and subject matter expert (SME) on complex integration projects, mentoring solution engineers and providing strategic guidance to ensure successful delivery.
• Client and Partner Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to clients and partners, articulating complex technical solutions in a clear and compelling manner, and ensuring alignment between technical designs and business objectives.
• Payment processing experience is strongly preferred.

What We Seek:

• 10+ years of experience in delivering enterprise-scale Cloud (SaaS) Services for Financial Services or a related industry, with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex solutions.
• Extensive experience in architecture roles within consulting, software design, or solution development, with a strong background in integration design and enterprise architecture.
• Leadership in High-Impact Projects: Demonstrated ability to manage and lead multiple large-scale projects concurrently, with a focus on delivering high-quality results that drive business value.
• Advanced Technical Skills: Deep expertise in industry-standard programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python) and experience with enterprise-level data integration, management, and security using web services, file transport, and database solutions.
• Cloud Architecture Proficiency: Significant experience in architecting and delivering cloud applications on platforms such as Azure or AWS, with a strong understanding of cloud-native design patterns and best practices.
• Security and Compliance Knowledge: Advanced understanding of federated identity management, SSO/SAML, and other security protocols, with the ability to integrate these into enterprise solutions.
• Innovative Problem-Solving: Ability to drive innovation within the architecture domain, identifying and implementing new technologies and methodologies to enhance solution offerings.
• Executive-Level Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to executive stakeholders and drive consensus on architectural decisions.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline. Advanced certifications in enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF) or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
