Crown Holdings raises dividend by 35%, appoints packaging veteran to board

Crown Holdings has announced a 35% dividend increase and appointed Michael P. Doss to its Board of Directors. The NYSE-listed metal packaging company supplies cans and related products to consumer goods firms. Doss brings extensive packaging industry leadership experience to the governance level. The moves raise questions about how Crown Holdings will balance capital returns, spending and long-term priorities. At $105.12, the share price trades approximately 23% below the consensus analyst target of $129.69 and roughly 45% below estimated fair value, according to Simply Wall St. The company's price-to-earnings ratio of 15.9 sits below the packaging industry average of 19.7. However, recent momentum shows a 6.9% decline over 30 days. A flagged risk is the company's high debt level.

Crown Recognized with 2025 Green Star Award for Excellence in Environmental Governance

Crown recognized with 2025 Green Star Award for excellence in Environmental Governance. Thursday, February 26, 2026 February 6, 2026 - Crown has been recognized by the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) and honored with the Green Star Award for 2025 at the Excellent level. The distinction highlights the company's long-standing commitment to environmental stewardship, operational transparency, and sustainable industrial innovation. The Green Star Award forms part of IEAT's broader Environmental Governance Project, a national initiative designed to elevate Thailand's industrial estates to international benchmarks. The program emphasizes sustainable innovation, circular-economy principles, and Thailand's target of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. By setting a strong industry framework, IEAT aims to reinforce public trust, encourage community engagement, and ensure that industrial development aligns with expectations for environmental responsibility. A Rigorous Assessment Aligned with Crown's Twentyby30(TM) commitments In 2025, 201 factories passed IEAT's environmental governance criteria, with only a select group earning the program's highest recognitions. The assessment covers five dimensions: clean and orderly operations, economic value creation, efficient resource use and pollution control, strong community relations, and transparent management. Awarded factories must also maintain zero complaints and no serious incidents during the evaluation period. Excelling under this framework demonstrates Crown's leadership and ongoing focus on circularity, waste reduction, and investment in processes that reduce environmental impact. These achievements directly support Crown's global Twentyby30(TM) sustainability program, which drives progress across carbon reduction, resource efficiency, community engagement, and responsible business practices. Receiving the 2025 Green Star Award at the Excellent level reinforces Crown's contribution to these long-term goals and highlights its position as a responsible manufacturer and trusted partner within the local industrial ecosystem. Crown will continue to work closely with IEAT, community stakeholders, and industry partners to drive forward a sustainable, inclusive industrial future.
