Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in project management within a technical environment.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing data center technical operations.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in data center operations, including 'smart hands' tasks and technician-level work desired.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in managing and coordinating technical resources within a data center environment.
  • Experience in designing and implementing data center environments and solutions is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, reporting, and project management skills.
  • Must be customer-centric and work under aggressive timelines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required.
  • CDCMP (Certified Data Center Management Professional)
  • ITIL Foundation v4
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) preferred
  • CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
  • CompTIA Network+ preferred
  • CompTIA A+, CompTIA Server+, CompTIA Cloud+ preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and assign work based on priority, skillset, and availability of data center resources, vendors, and OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers).
  • Ensure the quality of work meets system functional specifications based on the analysis of techniques and procedures aligned to the hardware/software supported through consultation or review with clients. Ensure testing and documentation of modified hardware computer systems upon completion of work.
  • Upon consulting with customers to determine the hardware, software, or system specifications, facilitate installation or decommissioning of all types of enterprise infrastructure equipment, and develop documentation regarding the physical schematics leveraged to ensure appropriate testing and maintenance for the systems and hardware.
  • Serve as the primary technical escalation point for onsite data center technicians, providing guidance and next steps for complex issues.
  • Provide timely and accurate communications to stakeholders, including overall status, health, and business benefits tracking for programs and projects.
  • Ensure data center workspace cleanliness by establishing and enforcing cleanliness standards.
