Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of 6 months of relevant experience is required without a degree.
  • Knowledge of office procedures is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • Ability to adapt to supporting software applications is required.
  • The role requires solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • The role requires resourcefulness and proactivity when issues arise.
  • Strong organizational skills are required.
  • The role requires multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Experience working with computers and a pleasant telephone manner are required.
Responsibilities
  • Answer telephone calls and route them to the appropriate person.
  • Greet patients and guests professionally and monitor reception and waiting areas.
  • Distribute incoming mail.
  • Obtain necessary signatures to process admissions data according to company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Maintain accurate records of hospitalization and patient travel to coordinate scheduling and ancillary testing.
  • Prepare medical records for faxing or mailing related to travel, transplant, disability, and other needs.
  • Organize patient travel by contacting relevant parties and providing requested medical records.
  • Coordinate transient patient paperwork.
  • Coordinate transfer placements and confirmations with the Clinical Manager.
  • Confirm completion and submission of admissions paperwork to designated departments such as billing by collecting, faxing, and scanning documents.
  • Assist with medical appointment referrals and scheduling.
  • Assist with transportation coordination and referrals.
  • Complete data entry for Crown Web related to ESRD 2728, ESRD 2746, and PART.
  • Scan insurance cards monthly.
  • Set up and maintain filing systems and basic databases.
  • Complete forms and reports for company offices, outside vendors, and agencies.
  • Prepare purchase orders using the appropriate software application.
  • Assist with department or facility accounts receivable and accounts payable functions as needed.
  • Maintain inventory of necessary office supplies.
  • Assist in auditing records for compliance with medical record standards, including histories and physicals, monthly physician progress notes, and care plans.
  • Assist with collecting patient demographic information and Continuous Quality Improvement data.
  • Assemble, file, and maintain patient medical records.
  • Print patient schedules and pull patient charts daily.
  • Arrange package pickup and delivery.
  • Assist with month-end reporting requirements.
  • Participate in center or team huddles and staff meetings.
  • Attend education and training sessions and apply key learnings.
Desired Qualifications
  • One to two years of related experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is preferred.
