Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Operations, Industrial Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered
  • 5–10+ years of experience in project management, manufacturing startup, commissioning, equipment installation, field engineering, industrial operations, or technical program execution
  • Experience managing schedules, action trackers, risks, dependencies, issue escalation, and stakeholder communication
  • Experience coordinating installation or commissioning of manufacturing equipment, process systems, modular equipment, industrial systems, or production lines
  • Ability to read and work with technical documentation such as drawings, equipment manuals, installation plans, procedures, commissioning checklists, and punch lists
  • Experience working with engineering, operations, maintenance, facilities, quality, safety, vendors, contractors, and partner organizations
  • Hands-on field orientation with strong problem-solving, follow-through, and communication skills
  • Experience in nuclear, chemical processing, advanced manufacturing, aerospace, defense, energy, or other regulated technical environments is preferred
  • Experience working in joint venture, customer-site, partner-site, or matrixed project environments is a plus
Responsibilities
  • Own the integrated project schedule for equipment installation, module readiness, commissioning activities, and operational handoff
  • Develop and contribute to project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring all project milestones are achieved.
  • Track milestones, dependencies, risks, blockers, and critical path items
  • Maintain action trackers, issue logs, readiness checklists, risk registers, and project status reports
  • Coordinate daily and weekly execution priorities with Standard Nuclear and partner site teams
  • Identify schedule risks early and drive escalation, decision-making, and resolution
  • Coordinate installation and commissioning activities for manufacturing equipment, process modules, and supporting systems
  • Track module delivery, installation progress, utility readiness, documentation status, punch list items, and commissioning requirements
  • Support readiness reviews, walkdowns, field checks, and transition planning from installation to commissioned operation
  • Ensure required inputs, owners, documentation, and follow-up actions are clearly identified and tracked
  • Help ensure installation and commissioning work is completed safely, on schedule, and in alignment with project requirements
  • Serve as Standard Nuclear’s primary on-site project interface with Framatome for installation and commissioning activities
  • Coordinate with partner manufacturing, maintenance, facilities, safety, quality, and project teams to support execution
  • Ensure Standard Nuclear priorities, technical requirements, open actions, and decisions needed are clearly communicated to site stakeholders
  • Maintain professional, practical, and timely communication across company and partner teams
  • Help prevent gaps between engineering intent, field execution, partner expectations, and project schedule
  • Work with Standard Nuclear engineering and technical teams to resolve installation, integration, equipment, and process questions
  • Support review and coordination of drawings, equipment documentation, procedures, commissioning plans, and technical deliverables
  • Coordinate input from engineering, operations, quality, EH&S, maintenance, facilities, vendors, and partner teams
  • Help translate technical requirements into practical field execution plans
  • Support troubleshooting during equipment installation, testing, turnover, and commissioning activities
  • Support completion and organization of installation checklists, commissioning records, punch lists, turnover packages, and readiness documentation
  • Facilitate the implementation of Standard Nuclear operating procedures and programs within our partner’s manufacturing systems.
  • Track open items, deficiencies, corrective actions, and closeout requirements
  • Ensure required project documentation is current, organized, and available to support commissioning and operational handoff
  • Support operational readiness reviews, pre-startup checks, and project closeout activities
  • Capture lessons learned from installation and commissioning and communicate them to internal teams

Standard Nuclear has appointed Seth Cohen to its board of directors, effective 12 August 2026. Cohen previously served as Chief Counsel for Nuclear Policy at the US Department of Energy, where he oversaw nuclear legal and policy work and coordinated with the White House, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and NASA on advanced nuclear and space power systems. Before joining government, Cohen practised at Kirkland & Ellis in San Francisco, handling Supreme Court and appellate litigation. Standard Nuclear completes construction of two TRISO fuel facilities adding 5 MTU annual capacity

Standard Nuclear has completed construction of two new TRISO nuclear fuel production facilities in Tennessee and Idaho. The facilities, designated SN-TN and SN-ID, are expected to collectively add up to 5 metric tons of uranium per year of production capacity once fully scaled, with initial capacity of 1 MTU annually each. The company has received approval of Preliminary Documented Safety Analyses for both facilities from the US Department of Energy. Start-up, commissioning, and licensing activities are expected to advance over the summer. Standard Nuclear currently operates its SN-0 facility in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, which produces up to 0.5 MTU annually. The company is also building another fuel line through a joint venture with Framatome in Washington state. "This comprehensive milestone represents the core of our mission at Standard Nuclear: focused execution to scale quickly to meet the increasing customer demand for advanced nuclear fuel," said Kurt Terrani, chief executive officer.

Standard Nuclear targets $3.5B valuation in IPO as AI power demand fuels nuclear boom

Standard Nuclear, a Tennessee-based manufacturer of advanced nuclear fuel, is targeting a valuation of up to $3.5 billion through its upcoming IPO. The company plans to offer 18.25 million Class A shares priced between $18 and $21 each. This represents a significant jump from the $838 million valuation in its January funding round. Standard Nuclear produces TRISO fuel, a highly robust micro-particle nuclear fuel designed for small modular reactors that could power AI data centres. The company reported a net loss of $7.7 million on revenue of $593,802 for Q1 2025, compared to an $8.3 million loss on $377,926 in revenue the previous year. Despite losses, revenue grew 57% year-over-year. Standard Nuclear reports a contract backlog of up to $245 million and estimates the cumulative TRISO fuel market opportunity at over $4 billion through 2030.
