Requirements
  • You have 5+ years of strategy, BizOps, corporate development, or other operating experience at high-growth startups.
  • You have a track record of owning ambiguous, high-stakes problems from definition through execution, and you move them forward independently.
  • You bring deep analytical and financial-modeling strength, using data to drive decisions and tell compelling stories.
  • You're highly organized and autonomous, comfortable owning ambiguous, high-impact work and building alignment across teams without heavy structure.
  • You're a clear, confident communicator who earns trust quickly with senior stakeholders.
  • You're a hands-on, results-focused operator, as comfortable in the weeds of a model as in front of the board.
  • You instinctively use AI & automation to turn manual work into repeatable systems.
Responsibilities
  • Drive top-level "where to play / how to play" investment decisions, owning the modeling and strategic recommendations behind new product lines, licensing, and other structural bets.
  • Lead diligence on M&A opportunities and build proactive acquisition theses and target lists across Tilt’s markets.
  • Own investor-relations strategy and execution.
  • Take on cross-enterprise operational issues with no clear owner or precedent; independently frame the problem, lay out and test hypotheses, build the analysis, and drive implementation of the best solutions.
  • Lead initiatives within and across markets that build synergy and economies of scale across Tilt’s portfolio, from annual planning to executive reporting, reducing complexity and driving clearer ownership and visibility.
  • Contribute to new-market selection, entry strategy, and resourcing decisions from idea through launch execution.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior top-tier management consulting experience is a plus.

Tilt acquires Brazilian salary-advance lender Blipay, adding 6M users in Latin America's largest credit market

Tilt, a US-based cash flow underwriting company, has acquired Blipay, a Brazilian salary-advance lender with over 6 million registered users. The deal marks Tilt's fourth international market entry, following Mexico, the Philippines and India. Blipay uses open banking data and Brazil's Pix instant payment system to extend credit to underserved consumers. This aligns with Tilt's approach of using real-time cash flow and alternative data rather than traditional credit scores, providing liquidity access to three in four consumers. The acquisition positions Tilt in Latin America's largest consumer credit market, where roughly 100 million people are underserved by traditional banks. Tilt achieved profitability in 2022 and has successfully replicated its international playbook across multiple markets.
