- A Bachelor of Science degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
- A minimum of 7 years of financial management experience in progressively responsible positions within multi-unit or multicultural manufacturing organizations is required.
- A demonstrated track record of accountability and achievement is required.
- Strong knowledge of accounting theory and application of financial principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, is required.
- Experience operating within a Sarbanes-Oxley-compliant environment is required.
- A demonstrated track record of financial control and analysis within a complex manufacturing environment is required.
- Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning systems and the ability to recommend changes and upgrades to meet business needs are required.
- A participative, proactive, hands-on operating style, high energy level, and tolerance for tight deadlines are required.
- Excellent communication, people development, planning, and organizational skills are required.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual profit-and-loss consolidations and financial reporting consistent with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and company policy.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial analyses for significant transactions and major capital expenditure proposals, presenting leadership with clear and concise reviews of current and projected operating results.
- Assess and upgrade the finance organization as needed to meet changing business needs.
- Provide leadership to strengthen the internal control environment and maintain Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance.
- Partner with the General Manager, Plant Controller, and other leadership-team members to provide advice and counsel on issues facing the business.
- Facilitate the timely development of financial plans, including sales, profits, capital spending, standard cost, cash flow, and balance sheets.
- Proactively assess assumptions underlying operating plans, identify major risks and opportunities, and compare results with management expectations.
- Manage assets, the revenue chain, credit and collections, and cash, and identify and pursue opportunities to reduce working capital.
- Support sales by reviewing quotes consistent with corporate profit objectives.
- Refine and maintain the integrity of the plant’s standard-cost system.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure efficient reviews of financial data and controls.
- A Master of Business Administration is preferred.
