Requirements
  • Hold full unrestricted U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or District of Columbia licensure, certification, or registration.
  • Hold Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, or equivalent certification.
  • Read, write, and speak English effectively.
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office applications and electronic medical records.
  • Have a minimum of five years of recent experience, including six months within the last year.
  • Meet pre-deployment physical requirements.
  • Be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods and bend, stoop, and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Be a U.S. citizen or hold a U.S. Permanent Resident Card.
  • Hold a valid U.S. passport with at least 18 months remaining before expiration and maintain a current passport during the stay in Iraq.
  • Obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, specifically a Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT).
  • Be able to relocate to Iraq for the duration of the project.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee medical staff at a Department of State healthcare clinic.
  • Collaborate with on-site physicians, other advanced practice providers, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Assess and stabilize patients requiring urgent or emergent care.
  • Provide comprehensive primary and continuing care to patients with a wide range of health concerns.
  • Provide health promotion and disease prevention, health maintenance counseling and patient education, diagnosis and directed physical examinations, emergent and annual vaccinations, and comprehensive sexually transmitted disease testing.
  • Manage simple chronic conditions through intermittent monitoring.
  • Consult and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain compliance with project-site procedures, standards, continuing education, and mandatory training requirements.
  • Coordinate with medical evacuation teams for patients requiring care beyond the clinic’s capabilities.
  • Participate in mass casualty exercises.
  • Complete required organizational compliance education, including client-specified requirements, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working on a military site as a government subcontractor or prime contractor.
  • Current U.S. Government security clearances.
