Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience using Terraform for network device automation, not just cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong LAN and WAN automation and configuration expertise.
  • Direct hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment and Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Proven experience evolving a brownfield network environment into an Infrastructure as Code model, not just building automation against a greenfield design.
  • Working knowledge of routing, switching, VLANs, firewall policy, and device configuration.
  • Experience with version control for network configuration and infrastructure code using Git.
  • Experience building and running regression testing for network changes managed as code.
  • A broad, cross-functional skill set spanning architecture, engineering, administration, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver against a compressed timeline.
  • Must be willing to work West Coast/Pacific Standard Time hours.
  • Must be available to start immediately.
Responsibilities
  • Assess the existing brownfield Cisco and Palo Alto environment and identify what must be rearchitected, standardized, or cleaned up before it can be reliably managed as code.
  • Design and build Terraform modules to automate deployment and configuration of Cisco network devices and Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Recommend changes needed to make the environment enterprise-ready and automation-ready.
  • Establish version-control practices and workflows for network configuration as code.
  • Build and execute regression testing to validate that Infrastructure as Code-managed changes do not break existing production behavior.
  • Translate manual, historically hand-configured network processes into repeatable, tested Infrastructure as Code.
  • Validate, test, and troubleshoot Terraform plans and applies against live network environments.
  • Perform hands-on engineering and administration tasks in addition to architecture and automation work.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues during the brownfield-to-Infrastructure-as-Code transition across Cisco and Palo Alto platforms.
  • Document module structure, variables, architecture decisions, and usage for the client team.
  • Collaborate with network and infrastructure teams to confirm requirements and scope.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior consulting or contract-based delivery experience.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines for infrastructure automation.
  • Familiarity with network automation tools beyond Terraform, such as Ansible or NAPALM.
  • Experience advising customers on enterprise network architecture before or alongside an automation initiative.

Arganteal provides IT deployment automation through a mix of professional services and a SaaS platform. It converts existing deployment scripts into reusable libraries and offers ASCOT to discover scripts and ADepT to build automated workflows with a drag-and-drop interface, enabling cross-cloud and on-premises deployments. The system is language-agnostic and cloud-agnostic, working with Google, AWS, Azure, and VMware to avoid vendor lock-in and to speed up deployments. The business generates revenue from services and SBIR-funded SaaS development, with a goal of reducing manual scripting bottlenecks and delivering faster, repeatable deployments.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Arganteal updated product pages on July 28 and August 15, 2026, signaling active commercialization.
  • The June 2026 hiring push for SDRs and Salesforce specialists shows live pipeline demand.
  • A 2026 federal Salesforce migration subcontract suggests credible defense-adjacent services revenue and reference wins.

What critics are saying

  • Arganteal still looks tiny; LinkedIn lists 11-50 employees, constraining enterprise sales execution.
  • Terraform, Ansible, and Copado already own deployment workflows Arganteal targets.
  • Federal and subcontract-heavy revenue concentration exposes Arganteal to recompetes and prime cuts; one missed award can cripple it.

What makes Arganteal unique

  • Arganteal combines services cashflow with ADepT and ASCOT automation products, unlike pure SaaS rivals.
  • Its cloud-agnostic stack supports AWS, Azure, Google, VMware, and on-premises deployments.
  • USAF validated Arganteal through Rapid Phase 2 contracts and ongoing partner work.
