Requirements
  • An Associate's degree and three years of progressively responsible administrative support experience are required, preferably working with international populations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, FileMaker Pro, virtual collaboration tools such as Zoom and Box, and Adobe is required.
  • Knowledge of office procedures, database entry principles, customer service and public relations principles, principles of math, mailing and distribution methods, training principles, leadership principles, intermediate to advanced budget administration principles, inventory and supply maintenance principles, and event planning is required.
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively, verbally and in writing, with all people is required.
  • Experience organizing Zoom meetings and Zoom webinars.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms such as Instagram and YouTube.
Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for International Services Office-sponsored events and programs.
  • Collaborate across campus and support the planning, promotion, and implementation of in-person and virtual events.
  • Reserve rooms, coordinate technology, and secure appropriate permissions for on-campus events.
  • Gather information, make reservations, and secure transportation accommodations for off-campus events.
  • Supervise campus events and trips in person with the Assistant Director and student assistants.
  • Collaborate with International Services Office staff to send newsletters for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Update online platforms with content for upcoming events, programs, and other materials.
  • Promote events through multiple social media platforms.
  • Design flyers and social media posts using infographics and marketing templates.
  • Coordinate the social media posting schedule for Instagram and other platforms using an online planning calendar.
  • Support the Assistant Director in hiring and overseeing students working on social media, marketing, and programming initiatives.
  • Manage the budget and reconcile expenses related to social media and programming initiatives.
  • Support special programming for the Fulbright Program, Global Visitor Program, Mentorship Program, Scholars, and other initiatives.
  • Create newsletters and communications for special stakeholder groups.
  • Support future special programs for cohorts on behalf of the Office for Global Engagement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with student programming.
  • Experience collaborating across campus departments in higher education.
  • Intermediate knowledge of hardware and software functionality.
  • Experience with Canva.
  • Experience with campus event registration platforms such as CCC, University Events Calendar, and Eventbrite.
  • Experience with video production.
  • Understanding of the Social Security and ITIN process (CAA) as it relates to international students.
