Requirements
  • Be a student or recent graduate interested in a structured execution role such as implementation, quality assurance, solutions engineering, operations or industrial engineering, data operations, or a similar field.
  • Be metrics-minded and comfortable defining success, tracking metrics, and driving improvement.
  • Be detail-oriented and reliable in process execution, with strong documentation habits.
  • Communicate concisely and raise issues early and clearly.
  • Follow work through and continue improving processes after the initial implementation.
  • Be comfortable with technical systems and able to reason about symptoms and inputs; machine learning experience is not required.
Responsibilities
  • Support onboarding outcomes against success metrics and customer key performance indicators, including quality, reliability, and time-to-value.
  • Help execute onboarding cycles using internal tools, then revisit and iterate them as new data and edge cases appear.
  • Check input data quality and flag issues involving camera angle, occlusion, anonymization, variance, and missing detections.
  • Identify and document edge cases and standard operating procedure or process variance, and contribute to a diverse, up-to-date dataset.
  • Communicate progress, metric movement, and blockers to the team, and suggest concrete next steps.
  • Improve the onboarding process over time through checklists, documentation, templates, and tool improvement ideas based on real usage.
  • Coordinate with installation teams to help camera setups deliver reliable onboarding and consistency across stations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Manufacturing or process exposure.

Almetra provides manufacturing intelligence by mounting AI-powered cameras above production lines to give real-time visibility into shop-floor operations. Almetra Capture processes video locally at the edge to produce structured data (cycle times, output, utilization, micro-stoppages, movement) and unifies it with MES, PLC, and ERP data into a single operational view. An agentic AI layer flags bottlenecks, identifies root causes, and ranks improvement opportunities, with dedicated engineers turning insights into concrete action plans, all while anonymizing footage and complying with GDPR. The goal is to become the data and automation layer for next-generation industrial robotics and manufacturing analytics, expanding from Europe to the United States.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Almetra raised €16.3 million on June 25, 2026 for US expansion.
  • Customers including Viessmann reported up to 20% productivity gains within weeks.
  • Almetra has 13 open roles in August 2026, signaling aggressive hiring and scale-up.

What critics are saying

  • Bosch, ABB, and Siemens Energy concentration exposes revenue to one delayed procurement cycle.
  • Robotics ambition in 2026 stretches execution from analytics into harder automation platforms.
  • No visible layoffs hide a brutal risk: factory pilots stall, and expansion funding burns out.

What makes Almetra unique

  • Almetra fuses edge video, MES, PLC, and ERP into one factory record.
  • Google DeepMind selected Almetra for its 2026 Robotics Accelerator cohort.
  • Its privacy-preserving cameras discard raw footage immediately, easing German works council adoption.

Almetra raises $18.4M Series A to bring AI-powered production intelligence to factories

Berlin-based Almetra, formerly known as Deltia, has raised €16.3 million in a Series A round led by blisce/, with participation from NAP, Merantix Capital, Robin Capital, Underline, Critical Ventures and business angels. The manufacturing intelligence company addresses factory inefficiencies through a platform combining video, machine data, IT systems and operator knowledge. AI-powered cameras installed above production lines process video locally, converting it into structured production data including cycle times, output rates and equipment utilisation, without requiring IT integration. The platform anonymises video footage and retains most data on-site to protect worker privacy. Almetra claims factories can identify optimisation opportunities within weeks. The funding will support product development, US expansion and development of automation capabilities, including robotics applications for production environments.

Romanian-founded firm Almetra raises $19M Series A led by blisce. Berlin-based Almetra, formerly known as Deltia, has raised a $19 million in a Series A round led by Blisce, with participation from NAP, Merantix, Robin Capital, Underline Ventures, and Critical Ventures, as Vestbee was told. * Founded in 2022 by Maximilian Fischer and Silviu Homoceanu, the company builds an AI-powered computer vision platform that helps factories monitor and improve production in real time. * Its system uses privacy-preserving cameras on shopfloors to convert raw video into structured operational data such as cycle times, machine stoppages, throughput, and utilization, reducing reliance on manual time studies and fragmented systems like MES or ERP. * The data is processed locally, anonymized, and used to create a live model of factory operations that AI analyzes to detect inefficiencies, identify root causes, and prioritize improvement actions for engineering teams. * Customers include Bosch, Siemens Energy, and ABB, with reported productivity gains of roughly 15 to 20% and faster cycle times in deployed environments. Details of the deal. * The new funding will support expansion into the US, faster product development, and the evolution of Almetra into a broader intelligence and automation layer for factory operations, integrating video, machine, and operational data into a unified system that delivers continuous, real-time insights for manufacturers.
