Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:

• Research, develop, plan, design, analyze and test Mechanical components, equipment and systems used as part of our ground operational hardware.

• Perform detailed hardware design including part selection, schematic, developing CAD models and conducting cable/signal routing.

• Support mechanical design of multiple ground distribution boxes.

• Provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems within Launch Equipment.

• Provide supplier oversight and troubleshooting during fabrication of our hardware.

• Work either individually or as part of a team to develop test procedures and hardware to verify engineering models.

• Prepare reports, briefings and design documents (drawings and specifications) in order to present status to the Air Force and program leadership.

• Supports the delivery of Mechanical Systems design Technical Data Packages, as-built TDPs, PDPs, interface models, and additional design artifacts.

• Supporting structured trade studies to evaluate alternative design solutions to resolve technical issues.

• Developing and presenting design change requests, coordinating with impacted internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring configuration control of the technical baseline.

• Identifying risks and opportunities associated with or driven by design factors and executing handling/mitigation/capture actions to reduce risk or realize opportunities.

• Developing and maturing Mechanical System designs that meet Weapon System requirements, UFC, MIL-STD, and other applicable codes and regulations.

Salary Range: $104,400.00 - $156,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
