Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED and three years of information technology experience providing end-user support or related information technology experience; or an associate degree in Information Technology or a related field and one year of such experience; or a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field and three years of such experience; or a master’s degree in Information Technology or a related field and one year of such experience.
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
  • Successful completion of required pre-employment screening, including annual tuberculosis screening and a criminal background check.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the information technology procurement and inventory management function within the information technology department.
  • Maintain records and databases containing information regarding licenses, warranties, and service agreements for organizational hardware and software.
  • Minimize organizational cost through product standardization and tracking.
  • Track quantity throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Monitor the daily and long-term information technology asset portfolio, including software and technology-related hardware, with regard to cost, control, risk, compliance, business performance objectives, and information technology governance established by the organization.
  • Maintain and issue Vocera devices, cellphones, and pagers.
  • Remain up to date on emerging technologies that would benefit UAMS and complement its mission and goals.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field of study.
  • Customer service experience.
