Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Two years of experience as a leasing consultant at an affordable housing property is required.
  • Experience with HUD, Low-Income Housing Tax Credit, and Section 8 programs is required.
  • Proven skills in managing leases for high-volume properties are required.

  • Experience marketing rental listings through open houses and individual showings is required.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to queries and provide leasing information, make appointments, create and follow up on maintenance requests, and handle or escalate resident complaints.
  • Screen applicants and conduct eligibility appointments for affordable housing programs.
  • Work with applicants to obtain paperwork and information needed to determine eligibility under program guidelines and criteria.
  • Follow up with prospects and provide information about the community and neighborhood to convert leads into community tours.
  • Conduct informative and personalized apartment community tours that result in new leases.
  • Build brand loyalty by ensuring a comfortable and helpful resident experience.
  • Maintain communications and follow-up correspondence with residents, applicants, and prospective applicants.
  • Coordinate and schedule lease applications while adhering to compliance requirements.
  • Execute new lease agreements and compile documents for internal and external review and approval.
  • Assist with coordinating move-in processes.
  • Prepare and execute lease-related and move-in paperwork.
  • Monitor lease renewals and distribute and follow up on renewal notices.
  • Manage regulatory and compliance-related services.
  • Respond to queries and leads and conduct property inspections.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
