  • At least seven years of relevant experience, which must include time with a top major law firm and prior relevant in-house experience (strongly preferred), and including litigation in employment matters

Responsibilities
  • Serve as in-house legal advisor and key in-house legal partner for the company’s US employment litigation, working closely with the head of global employment law, head of litigation, and external counsel to formulate and execute on litigation strategy from pre-litigation (including administrative proceedings), discovery, motion practice, and trial in arbitration and court forums
  • Serve as in-house legal advisor on a broad spectrum of employment law matters, mainly in the US, including: talent acquisition, workplace investigations, performance management, leaves of absence and accommodations, separations, onboarding, wage and hour, internal investigations, compensation and benefits, employee privacy, contingent workforce issues
  • Evaluate employment practices for legal risk, establish priorities for process improvements, and execute on established priorities
  • Draft, review, and/or revise playbooks, policies, employment-related agreements and templates
  • Assist in developing and conducting training and education programs for employees, managers, and the People team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and external counsel, and manage projects with a team-oriented approach
  • Review and respond to claims, demand letters, administrative complaints, audits, and other employment-related inquiries
