Requirements
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Tax, or other related field
  • CPA or MST required. Tax training should include comprehensive study of federal tax statutes, state taxation, research, and compliance procedures
  • 5+ years of experience with strong exposures in ASC 740 in a public accounting firm or equivalent in a large corporation setting
  • Proficiency in Excel and online tax research tools is required
  • Experience in a complex, global environment with progressive management or supervisory responsibilities
  • Requires an ability to work with management personnel from each of the autonomous business units/entities, the CCG CFO, shareholders/officers, external advisors for both CCG and shareholders, the outside audit firm, banking personnel, and federal and state tax authorities
Responsibilities
  • Preparation of annual GAAP tax provision, balance sheet and footnote reporting in accordance with ASC 740 for CCG. Roll forward and reconcile balance sheet tax accounts, compute tax-related journal entries, and review with outside auditors
  • Responsible for federal, state, local, and foreign income tax compliance for CCG. Determine book to tax adjustments, review state apportionment methodologies, and calculate tax credits. Coordinate information flow and manage tax return preparation with outside tax advisors. Analyze results to true up financial statements and identify issues. Work with CCG entities to ensure timely filing of returns and payment of taxes
  • Complete quarterly and long-range taxable income and tax payment forecasts which are used for financial planning purposes and in computing quarterly estimated tax payments for corporate entities and shareholder distributions
  • Maintain roll forward of shareholder equity balances by entity and track total distributions by shareholder on a quarterly basis and true up to tax return results
  • Coordinate quarterly estimated tax filings with outside consultant with focus on cash flow impact and avoiding penalties. Ensure timely filing of vouchers and payment of tax
  • Manage federal and state tax audits, inquiries, and examinations. Research and resolve audit issues and controversy
  • Research and respond to federal, state, local, and foreign tax notices for all CCG entities
  • Maintain historical legal entity documentation and oversee annual report filings
  • Assist with special tax projects as needed
  • Review and execute daily cash management needs to back up the Senior Treasury Analyst
