  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • The employee must be able to meet the stated physical and sensory requirements, including standing, walking, lifting, transporting patients, bending, reaching, and perceiving visual and auditory attributes.
Responsibilities
  • Assess patient acuity in waiting areas, escort patients to exam rooms, complete intake by gathering medical history and obtaining vital signs, and prepare patients and rooms with necessary instruments and equipment.
  • Schedule patients for advanced care with specialty providers, workers compensation follow-ups, and other clinical services as needed.
  • Perform point-of-care testing according to protocol and ensure proper cleaning, calibration, and maintenance of equipment and exam rooms.
  • Maintain competency in specimen collection and perform reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing for fit-for-duty purposes while following chain-of-custody protocols for urine, saliva, hair, breath, and blood specimens.
  • Assist nursing staff and providers in delivering patient-centered care and maintaining an efficient patient experience.
  • Work weekend and holiday rotations.
