Fleet Operations Summer Intern

Join our Fleet Services team as a 2025 summer intern. Intern will assist and take direction from Fleet analysts on the performance of a variety of technical and administrative services assignments in support of Eversource’s Fleet Operations Organization.

Responsibilities: 

• Participates in weekly project planning meetings, assists with Fleet asset data standardization projects, and provides updates on Fleet deliverables for all Operating Companies.    
• The ability to take ownership of assignments and to make constructive recommendations to methods, procedures, programs, processes, etc. 
• Responsible for downloading and updating various reports and key performance indicators using Excel data from Fleet feeder systems.   
• Monitor exception reports, perform root cause analysis, and take corrective actions. 
• Determine upcoming registration renewal requirements, support the renewal process, and uploaded current documents to the Fleet asset system.
• Handle incoming requests for driver fuel pin and fuel card replacements.    
• Vehicle title maintenance and  auction support.
• Accurately submit requests for payments for motor vehicle taxes, asset buy-outs, and EZ-Pass payments, etc.
• Submit and monitor CT Emission Notification requests to drivers and supervisors.
• Responsible for communicating with Fleet Operations’ internal and external customers including - Safety, Accounting, Environmental, Operations, Shop Supervisors, Vendors, and Municipalities.    

Qualifications:

Education:      Seeking a sophomore or junior from an accredited University or College majoring in Accounting, Finance, Business, Supply Chain, or other relevant degree.  Minimum 3.0 GPA required.  Will need to provide transcripts with your application.

• Required Skills:
• Proficient/Advanced Level of MS Office Suite is required. 
• Ability to work effectively with other people to achieve desired ends.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills. 
• The ability to collaborate with Procurement, Accounting, Gas and Electric Operations, Shop Supervisors, and Vendors is required.
