Requirements
  • Licensed Clinical Psychologist or working towards licensure
  • Master's degree in social work and licensed as an LCSW
  • Licensed Professional Counselor
  • Must be licensed in the state of Oregon
  • Graduate coursework in biological basis of behavior
  • Experience working with people who have experienced chronic medical conditions
  • Proficiency using DSM V and ICD-10
  • Bilingual preferred
Responsibilities
  • Complete initial assessment including population-based screeners and brief interventions
  • Offer consultation and support on behavioral health issues
  • Provide information, screening, and referral services to patients
  • Assess the nature and extent of each patient's emotional, behavioral, mental health, and/or co-occurring disorders
  • Collaborate and communicate with team members to provide integrated treatment
  • Participate in clinical review sessions, monthly staff meetings, training sessions, committee work, supervision sessions
  • Establish rapport, systematically gather data, determine the patient's readiness for treatment and change, and apply accepted criteria for diagnosis of substance abuse disorders
  • Analyze and interpret all relevant data to determine treatment recommendations and priorities
  • Provide crisis intervention and help deescalating difficult or upset patients
  • Collaborate with Mental Health Providers on providing wrap around services to shared patients and those needing behavioral support
  • Consistently performs specific assigned daily and general duties
  • Maintain strict confidentiality
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to accepted ethical and behavioral standards of conduct
  • Understand and apply risk management protocols
  • Analysis of reimbursement requirements and design of reimbursement processes
  • Routinely complete all chart note, documentation, and billing activities
