Requirements
  • The right candidate is intimately familiar with USAID and international development programming
  • Graduate degree in relevant field (i.e., data analytics, statistics, public administration, economics, international development)
  • Minimum 7 years of experience managing USAID activities, 3 years in a supervisory role
  • Demonstrated background in data and information management, knowledge management, and monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL)
  • Understanding of human-centered design approaches
  • Proven leadership ability and excellent management, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Proven track record of managing activity work plans to meet project objectives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Responsibilities
  • Develop content and knowledge management strategy and support implementation related to the goals and vision of DECODE and complementary activities to further stakeholder and user engagement
  • Advise USAID staff on knowledge management strategies and good practices pertaining to content creation and management
  • Lead efforts to access and use secondary data and evidence produced at global, regional, and local levels in the education sector
  • Liaise with other Center for Education programs providing education evidence and knowledge that is curated and shared
  • Use user experience (UX) research and design methods to enable greater representation, engagement, access, navigability, and usability of education sector data
  • Work with capacity building staff to design and implement activities that will strengthen local actors' capacity to produce and disseminate data
  • Support USAID staff in integrating secondary data into knowledge products to be developed and curated as needed
  • Support USAID staff in using secondary data in decision-making and knowledge product development
