  • Strong experience with maintenance and planned preventive maintenance regimes to SFG20 requirements.
  • Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office applications.
  • A recognized third-level qualification in Electrical Engineering or a similar field.
  • Excellent fault-diagnosis skills.
  • Experience with Building Management System controls and heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems.
  • Good technical knowledge and the ability to project manage and multitask.
  • Ability to work to high standards against agreed timescales with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of emergency response, standby, and call-out activities and protocols.
  • Experience with uninterruptible power supplies, standby power, lifts, boilers, and heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems.
  • Experience with electrical systems, switchgear, and low-voltage and high-voltage earthing systems.
  • Eligibility to become a company Senior Authorised Person for low-voltage systems.
  • A full United Kingdom driving licence.
  • City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent, or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations under BS7671.
  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance, ideally in a mobile role.
  • Strong fault-finding skills and knowledge of commercial electrical systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Responsibilities
  • Complete planned preventive maintenance tasks and inspections on daily, weekly, monthly, and six-monthly schedules in accordance with SFG20 requirements.
  • Complete and document check sheets and reports for each planned preventive maintenance task, including system checks across sites.
  • Communicate effectively with the client’s site engineering team and King & Moffatt management.
  • Maintain electrical plant services to industry standards.
  • Oversee subcontractor activities when required and ensure compliance with risk assessments, method statements, and QHSE permitting.
  • Conduct electrical installations and upgrades in line with BS7671 regulations.
  • Test and inspect electrical systems and issue relevant certification, including Electrical Installation Condition Reports and Minor Works Certificates.
  • Identify replacement parts and obtain quotations for condition-maintenance plans.
  • Maintain statutory engineering maintenance documentation so it remains accessible.
  • Oversee completion of planned preventive maintenance tasks and client service requests in line with service-level agreements.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work using digital or paper-based systems.
  • Ensure compliance with audit requirements and review site standard operating procedures, engineering risk assessments, and scenario training.
  • Adhere to QHSE procedures and implement improvements identified during inspections.
  • Participate in technical training, competency assessments, and scenario-training exercises.
  • Participate in the site’s out-of-hours call-out rota.
  • Compile risk assessments and method statements for projects and ensure adherence to RAMS and task-specific safe-work procedures.
  • Promote a positive health, safety, quality, and environmentally conscious culture across the project.
  • Conduct site inspections.
  • Report project-team and subcontractor EHSQ performance and make recommendations to the EHSQ Manager to ensure safe working conditions.
  • Review EHSQ documentation submitted by contractors and subcontractors.
  • Collate accident statistics and undertake trend analysis when relevant.
  • Work flexibly with the client to support service delivery.
Desired Qualifications
  • A 2391, 2394, or 2395 Testing and Inspection qualification.
  • Experience with Building Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of additional mechanical building services, including heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems and plumbing.
  • IPAF, PASMA, or ECS Card.
  • Experience in a mobile electrical-maintenance role.
