Requirements
  • Basic knowledge of PC build process and the Windows Operating System
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), organizational, and time management skills mandatory
  • Ability to manage/troubleshoot hardware (video cards, USB & peripheral devices and drivers)
  • Basic knowledge of Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Ability to assess and prioritize work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to manage resources both laterally & vertically
  • Must have a high school diploma
  • Basic understanding and experience with PC support
  • Well-versed in installing windows, software, applications, antivirus, and patches
  • Professional appearance and behavior, including punctuality
  • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Windows 10
Responsibilities
  • Work alongside senior Engineering to utilize scripting and RMM tools to further automate and improve the PC Build process
  • Work with our Procurement Team to track delivered IT equipment to the NYC office
  • Assist maintaining and organizing client equipment brought into our server room
  • Work with our ticketing system (ConnectWise) to track PC build time and ensure a daily SLA time frame
  • Work from both an Abacus PC build checklist as well as any custom client checklists and attach to respective CW ticket
  • Manage/troubleshoot hardware issues (video cards, USB & peripheral devices and drivers)
  • Reports directly to Engineering manager, providing daily build ticket updates, and summary for all tickets completed and machines deployed at the end of the week
  • Provide a summary for all tickets completed and machines deployed to manager at the end of the week
  • Must be able to lift computer hardware and related equipment (up to 25lbs)
  • Report to our Grand Central area office Monday-Friday
