Requirements
- Basic knowledge of PC build process and the Windows Operating System
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized
- Excellent communication (oral and written), organizational, and time management skills mandatory
- Ability to manage/troubleshoot hardware (video cards, USB & peripheral devices and drivers)
- Basic knowledge of Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines
- Ability to assess and prioritize work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to manage resources both laterally & vertically
- Must have a high school diploma
- Basic understanding and experience with PC support
- Well-versed in installing windows, software, applications, antivirus, and patches
- Professional appearance and behavior, including punctuality
- Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Windows 10
Responsibilities
- Work alongside senior Engineering to utilize scripting and RMM tools to further automate and improve the PC Build process
- Work with our Procurement Team to track delivered IT equipment to the NYC office
- Assist maintaining and organizing client equipment brought into our server room
- Work with our ticketing system (ConnectWise) to track PC build time and ensure a daily SLA time frame
- Work from both an Abacus PC build checklist as well as any custom client checklists and attach to respective CW ticket
- Manage/troubleshoot hardware issues (video cards, USB & peripheral devices and drivers)
- Reports directly to Engineering manager, providing daily build ticket updates, and summary for all tickets completed and machines deployed at the end of the week
- Provide a summary for all tickets completed and machines deployed to manager at the end of the week
- Must be able to lift computer hardware and related equipment (up to 25lbs)
- Report to our Grand Central area office Monday-Friday
