Requirements
  • A degree in Science, Chemistry or equivalent field is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of experience working in a hydrocarbon laboratory, or education or relevant LNG experience substituting for that requirement.
  • Oil and gas experience is preferred, with a preference for LNG applications; however, petrochemical, natural gas liquids, cryogenic natural gas processing, or other hydrocarbon processing experience may be acceptable.
  • Knowledge of basic laboratory equipment such as Gas Chromatographs, Dew Point meters, sample cylinders, regulators, valves, balances, and related apparatus.
  • Analytical skills in quality testing using gas chromatography.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Responsibilities
  • Operate laboratory equipment in a safe, reliable, and operationally responsible manner.
  • Test and analyze the above-mentioned sample types, record lab results and generate summary reports using application software and laboratory data repositories.
  • Run daily quality control checks on applicable instrumentation following GPA, ASTM, and applicable ISO standards.
  • Operate laboratory equipment to perform required analysis, troubleshoot equipment difficulties and initiate minor repairs.
  • Basic inventory management of laboratory supplies and parts.
  • Execute daily laboratory tasks and requests in a timely manner with high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other laboratory technicians, and supervisory staff on activities.

It sells LNG under long-term contracts to utilities, energy companies, and industrial users, providing a stable revenue stream.
