Requirements
  • Proven industry background and occupational competence in insulation, building fabric upgrades, or construction retrofit.
  • Strong understanding of fabric-first retrofit principles and PAS 2035.
  • Experience with nature-based or bio-based materials.
  • Strong links with the retrofit and construction sector, ideally with employer engagement experience.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe and high-quality training and assessment across building fabric and insulation qualifications (e.g. SVQs/NVQs, SCQF awards).
  • Provide workplace assessment and on-site verification as required by awarding bodies.
  • Develop and update course materials with a focus on fabric-first and bio-based approaches.
  • Guide learners through practical and theory-based learning, from site operatives to experienced workers.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of Verdancy's insulation and building fabric offer, including industry engagement.
  • Maintain quality assurance and internal verification standards.
  • Represent Verdancy in stakeholder and partnership meetings related to fabric retrofit and green construction skills.
Desired Qualifications
  • Qualified assessor (A1, L&D9DI or equivalent) and verifier (IQA) with recent delivery experience.
  • Experience delivering and assessing SVQs/NVQs or other construction-related qualifications.
  • Familiarity with workplace and experienced worker assessment.
  • Experience contributing to course design, quality assurance, and resource development.
  • Able to adapt content for different audiences, from early career learners to experienced tradespeople.
