Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 7 years of experience in designing and implementing technology architectures, including managing the delivery of multiple simultaneous, complex solutions.
  • Experience in cloud-native technology, including microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, scalable designs, and digital platforms.
  • Understanding of modern technology service architecture, security, and risk management, including IAM, monitoring, IaaS/PaaS/SaaS, and containers.
  • Advanced degree in computer science, information security, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of technologies and vendor capabilities, and experience implementing these within large infrastructure/systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft infrastructure, operating in on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments.
  • Proficiency in Lean/Agile/Scrum methodologies; experience with scaled agile frameworks like SAFe.
  • Experience with industry trends, value propositions, and best practices relevant to technology.
  • Certification in LEAN, Agile/Scrum, or ITIL, with a track record of implementing these methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of architectural frameworks such as The Open Group, NIST, ISO 19xxx, BizBok, or Gartner.
Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive solution artifacts that align with business objectives and meet compliance standards, ensuring your designs set the benchmark for reliability and scalability.
  • Lead the creation of solutions that harmonize with BECU’s strategic goals, setting the stage for sustainable technology growth and alignment with our technical blueprints.
  • Manage and guide multiple solution development efforts, providing mentorship and technical insights to empower project teams and drive exceptional results.
  • Establish and enforce architecture standards, processes, and constraints, ensuring consistency and quality across BECU’s technology landscape.
  • Analyze business capabilities to uncover opportunities for greater long-term value, driving decisions that resonate with our strategic objectives.
  • Share your expertise with Solutions Architects and other technology peers, helping them master best practices and grow their skills in solutions architecture.
  • Work closely with production support teams to solve domain-specific challenges and reduce architectural design debt for smoother technology operations.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of third-party software platforms, ensuring our technology stack is robust, adaptable, and forward-thinking.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, continuously identifying areas where BECU can improve and innovate.
