Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, with expertise in Cisco routing and switching (CCNA or CCNP preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of Palo Alto Firewalls, including rule management and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with wireless network systems, particularly Aruba Access Points, and optimizing wireless environments.
  • Familiarity with SD-WAN technology, including deployment and management in multi-site environments.
  • Solid understanding of network security principles, VPN configurations, and threat mitigation strategies.
  • Proficiency with network monitoring and diagnostic tools like SolarWinds, Wireshark, or similar.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
Responsibilities
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network systems, including Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco routing/switching, Aruba Access Points, and SD-WAN solutions.
  • Monitor and enhance network performance, identifying and resolving issues proactively to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Support the implementation of new network infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with Axon’s strategic goals.
  • Assist with network security configurations, including VPN setups, access controls, and firewall policies to safeguard Axon’s data and systems.
  • Collaborate with the Network Engineering team on optimizing and scaling Axon’s network across multiple office locations, including Arizona HQ.
  • Provide tier-two support for escalated network incidents, troubleshooting advanced issues and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Document network architectures, configurations, and changes to maintain accurate and accessible records.
  • Participate in planning and execution of network upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.
  • Engage with third-party vendors and service providers to coordinate network installations, hardware replacements, and issue resolution.
  • Mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and fostering growth within the team.
