Requirements
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in business technology partnership, business enablement, digital transformation, or related fields.
  • 5+ years in leadership roles managing teams responsible for business partnering, strategy, or product management.
  • Proven track record aligning technology investments to business outcomes within financial services, lending, banking, or closely related industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to define, track, and report KPIs that measure technology adoption, operational efficiency, revenue impact, and ROI.
  • Strong data literacy—comfort working with analytics, dashboards, and quantitative metrics to establish baseline and measure progress.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, engaging C level and functional leaders in regular alignment forums and business reviews.
  • Experience building user centric engagement models, embedding product thinking and shared accountability into tech business interactions.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams in complex, matrixed environments and foster collaborative problem solving.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to functional locations and stakeholder sites.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the business partnership function, aligning technology strategy with the strategic goals of Origination, Closing, and Servicing functions while ensuring technology investments directly support revenue growth and operational efficiency.
  • Establish a structured engagement model that embeds product-thinking and user-centric design into how technology supports the business with a focus on co-creation and shared accountability for business outcomes.
  • Define and track KPIs for technology-enabled initiatives, adoption rates, and process improvements using data-driven approaches to measure ROI and business impact across all technology investments.
  • Champion cross-functional alignment, working with technology and business leaders to ensure transparency, accountability, and outcomes through regular business reviews and joint success planning.
  • Foster a culture of partnership, innovation, and shared ownership of results between technology and the business while building business fluency within technology teams and technical understanding within business units.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Business Partner team to ensure alignment, ownership, and impact across BWE's core business functions while building capabilities in business strategy, product management, and outcome measurement.
  • Research and evaluate business-facing AI and automation tools that can enhance business partner effectiveness and business user productivity.
  • Serve as executive sponsor for business enablement aspects of BOLD initiatives, ensuring technology implementations drive measurable business results.
Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS in Information Systems, Data Analytics, or similar).
  • Experience leading business enablement or partnership at scale across Origination, Closing, and Servicing within mortgage, consumer lending, or payments ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with AI/automation tools—evaluating/introducing RPA, generative AI, virtual assistants, analytics tooling to elevate the business partner model.
  • Deep experience launching and scaling a business partnering operating model—creating role definitions, onboarding playbooks, success metrics, dashboards, and integration governance.
  • Prior success driving a standardized “tech business integration playbook” or methodology aligning strategy, budgeting, portfolio plans, and execution priorities.
  • Skilled in change management and user adoption strategies geared towards embedding new ways of working between tech and business units.
  • Track record coaching of high performing multidisciplinary teams in fields such as product management, analytics, and strategy execution.
  • Familiarity with agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and product delivery best practices in enterprise tech environments.
  • Certifications in project management (PMP, PMIACP), business analytics (e.g. CBAP), or technology/product (e.g. AIPMM, Pragmatic).
  • Executive presence with boardroom gravitas, able to represent digital initiatives in strategic executive forums.
