- Current licensure with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician
- Maintains a valid national pharmacy certification
- High School graduate at least 18 years of age
- Must have a minimum of 1000 hours experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Must be willing to work at multiple locations (Beverly Hospital primary), Addison Gilbert Hospital, Bayridge Hospital, LOCD, etc.
- Must have personal vehicle and valid driver’s license for means of transportation
- Pharmacy Technicians ensure safe, effective, and timely patient-centered care, and are integral to the pharmacy healthcare team.
- The role requires performing a wide variety of duties under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist relating to the preparation, distribution, and storage of pharmaceuticals for patients.
- Pharmacy Technicians work with computerized and automated systems for dispensing medications and preparing intravenous admixtures, as well as chemotherapy products.
- Team members are responsible for developing and promoting collaborative and collegial relationships with nurses, physicians, and interdepartmental personnel as they relate to the pharmaceutical care of the patients.
- Once trained, be responsible for teaching and training other technicians and assisting in administrative duties.
- At least 2 years of hospital, or related pharmacy experience is preferred
- Exceptional aptitude or knowledge may be considered in lieu of experience
