What You’ll Do:

• This role is part of the Pre-Construction team and is designed to determine existing and future utility structure and mapping. This a 100% field position and will deal with a wide variety of site conditions. A Company truck will be provided.
• Feasibility – Review of our projects against local jurisdiction requirements as necessary.
• Site Design – Locate and determine capacities of the existing electric, water, natural gas, and sewer systems. Provide utility trench mapping and coordinate utility design with architectural plans.
• Verify electrical load calculations for individual projects, identify what existing infrastructure exists and what will be needed for each project. This includes design mapping of electrical trenching.
• Manage both the application process with the local utility company and local jurisdiction, as well as the ticketing process through to permit approval.
• Mitigate utility conflicts in the field and coordinate with subcontractors.

What You Have:

• 5 years of electrical experience. C10 license preferred
• 4-year college degree preferred but not required. Degree in Construction Management or Engineering Engineering is a plus
• 3+ years in construction / utility mapping. Experience in utility design is a plus
• Clean driving record
• Self-starter who takes initiative and responsibility for their work and actions 
• Comfort working in the uncertainty of a new company, with a consistently evolving agenda 
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate cross-functional schedules
• An eye for quality, detail, and a desire to perform at a high level
• Experienced in Building Code and Local Ordinance review and interpretation
• Experience with construction management software, Bluebeam Revu and Google Workspace a plus
