Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Ability and willingness to work an extensive night, weekend, and holiday schedule for sports event coverage and television production.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to be insured by the University insurance carrier.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with producing live and taped content for the ACC Network, CardsTV, and in-venue productions for the University of Louisville Athletic Department.
  • Communicate content directives from ESPN's weekly production calls across various sports.
  • Serve as the lead graphics position for ACC Network linear broadcasts.
  • Work closely with the Director and Assistant Director to design, implement, and execute on-air graphics supporting storylines for UofL Broadcast Center productions.
  • Use knowledge of sports and graphics to determine concepts, visual treatments, and content for graphics for assigned events.
  • Research sports information and obtain materials as directed by ESPN associate producers, directors, or assigned productions.
  • Handle pre-production work for assigned broadcast, webcast, and Big Screen productions.
  • Maintain current software and project deployments for ESPN and ACC Network projects, including IMS Images.
  • Train and mentor students and contract employees in preparing elements for games, events, edits, or shoots and executing content delivery.
  • Write line copy, script portions, and special introductions as needed.
  • Stay current with technological advances in animation, video editing, and graphics and recommend software updates as technology advances.
Desired Qualifications
  • Three years of experience producing graphics for live sports or events.
  • Knowledge of sports and sports history.
  • Basic knowledge of story ideas and concepts for assigned sports events.
  • Experience with Ross Carbonite video switchers.
  • Understanding of Evertz routers and video and audio signal flow.
  • Working knowledge of Evertz DreamCatcher replay systems.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects.
  • Proficiency with Ross XPression graphics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel spreadsheets.
  • Ability to function effectively amid frequent changes, work to deadlines, and deliver accurate work in pressure situations.
  • Ability to multitask on live remote and studio productions.
  • Effective verbal and written organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
