Salary Range: 90000 to 120000 (Currency: USD) (Pay period: per-year-salary)
Procon Consulting, a fast-growing professional services firm in McLean, VA with expertise in providing program and project management for design and construction, project controls, commissioning, construction-related technology, and facilities management, seeks a Quality & Construction Inspector for an opportunity in Boulder, CO.
The candidate will have responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, scheduling, coordinating, and performing the general field inspection services to monitor all on-site construction activities. This role requires a minimum 5+ years of experience in general construction with new constructions and renovations, familiar with mechanical/electrical construction techniques and possess knowledge of laboratory or research operations.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Performing construction inspection, inspection and monitoring of trades
- Interpret plans and specifications to become familiar with the project scope
- Responsible for construction progress monitoring and preparation of inspection reports and final punch lists
Basic Qualifications
- BA or BS degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture from an ABET accredited university or college. In lieu of degree, must have 5+ years of trade experience with verified certification (i.e. PMP, CCM, CAPM, etc.)
- OSHA 30 certification
- Monitors the project design and construction effort, to include, but not limited to, risk management, security, and safety compliance, etc.
- Monitors on-site processes, procedures, and systems for compliance with construction drawings, security requirements, and code compliance.
- Assists the client with technical reviews, execution, reporting, documentation, administration, and stakeholder management.
- Provides on-site construction observation that includes daily reports and photos during mobilization, site preparation, construction, fit-out, commissioning and occupancy.
- Provides support in the administration of planning, management direction, project completion, client satisfaction, and financial outcome of assigned construction projects.
- Provides strong administrative support on a daily basis to all customers, manages electronic documents, prepares meeting agenda and minutes, documents project progress, serves as the liaison for other customer groups related to all projects, provides technical expertise, monitors security related issues, and maintains a coordinating relationship with the government agency, its clients, and external partners to include the architect-engineers, construction contractors, and other contractors supporting the government.
- Have the skillset and a working knowledge of engineering services, building codes, budgeting and scheduling to lead to the project’s success
- Ability to analyze all relevant project related information and communicate project status and major issues in writing or verbally.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Industry Project software packages to include but not limited to latest versions of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, Primavera, Prolog, etc. preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CQM certification or the ability to complete course and obtain CQM certification
