Requirements
  • A FINRA Series 6 license and life and health licenses are required.
  • Three years of related experience in financial, sales, or educational services functions.
  • Expertise in the private-sector business and knowledge of 401(k) plans and additional financial products and services to expand plan relationships.
  • Ability to navigate political and economic landscapes to achieve business results.
  • Knowledge of annuity and investment products and the ability to communicate product information effectively.
  • A strong understanding of the competitive landscape is required.
  • Knowledge of Nationwide Retirement Plans is necessary to support the Program Director in administrative and sales responsibilities.
  • Excellent sales, communication, and presentation skills are required.
  • Ability to manage a territory of clients effectively.
  • A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record are required.
Responsibilities
  • Schedule and conduct one-on-one and group seminars for potential and existing participants within an assigned territory.
  • Assist and support the Program Director in territory planning, execution strategies, and team-building and development activities.
  • Serve as a financial resource to existing and potential participants by providing counseling and guidance on the features and benefits of defined-contribution retirement savings plans to drive sales growth.
  • Develop relationships with key entity contacts, especially at the department-head level, to expand products and services within the plan.
  • Help and support the Program Director, including training on new presentations, product information, and policy or process changes.
  • Act as a team lead for a group of Retirement Specialists and serve as a point of contact for inquiries and troubleshooting problems.
  • Lead special projects related to marketing, customer service, enrollment, and other administrative processes of the deferred-compensation program.
  • Work with dedicated or regional home-office teams to solve customer issues or implement actions that improve field processes.
  • Travel within the assigned territory as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Undergraduate studies in a related field, insurance, business, or marketing.
  • Series 63 and Series 65 licenses may be necessary.

Nationwide has reported record financial results for 2025, entering its centennial year with total adjusted capital of $32.8 billion, the highest in its 100-year history.
