Responsibilities
  • Participate in the property tax department workflow, including tax return and tax bill processing (assembling, e-filing, extensions, scanning, mailing via UPS/FedEx, etc.)
  • Assist in processing and verifying client tax bills and property tax payments with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, including handling correspondence through routine phone and email inquiries
  • Manage and organize large volumes of incoming mail, match checks to invoices for mailing, and verify and correct addresses for returns and tax bills to ensure accuracy
  • Review and enter property tax assessment and tax bill data into Property Tax Software
  • Research property tax matters by contacting local jurisdictions via phone or website to gather additional information
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of data entry according to established controls
  • Participate in ongoing training and learning opportunities
Desired Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree or higher
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax compliance or related administrative roles
  • Previous experience working with property tax, sales and use tax, or income tax
  • Experience with mail merges, Anybill, and scanning software
