Requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience (e.g., management consulting, technical consulting, technical product management, engineering operations/strategy, start-up role in strategy, biz ops, or chief of staff function)
  • Experience in or exposure to high-growth tech/fintech companies, particularly in engineering-heavy environments
  • Understanding of software development processes, engineering team dynamics, and technical product lifecycles (no coding required, but a strong operational/strategic grasp of engineering is critical)
  • Financial modeling and analytical skills to support resource allocation, budgeting, and investment decisions within Engineering
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate engineering concepts into business impact for executives
Responsibilities
  • Partner with the CTO and engineering leadership to define long-term engineering strategy and translate it into near-term execution plans and KPIs
  • Develop and implement foundational quality measurement frameworks, tracking key engineering health indicators such as bugs, incidents, reliability, and system performance
  • Track and optimize engineering execution, ensuring alignment between technical priorities, business goals, and financial considerations
  • Work with the CTO on special projects, owning the end-to-end process from strategy development through cross-functional execution
  • Own the portfolio of engineering initiatives, building visibility around priorities, dependencies, and resource allocation and ensuring tight alignment with the Product organization
  • Improve development workflows, team efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration to help Engineering operate at maximum effectiveness
  • Provide research and analytical decision support, surfacing key trade-offs and recommendations for senior leadership
  • Help shape Engineering org design and hiring strategy, identifying gaps and optimizing team structure to support business needs
  • Drive strategic conversations at the executive level, distilling complex technical progress into clear insights for leadership
  • Continuously seek opportunities to streamline costs, improve infrastructure efficiency, and optimize investments in technology
