Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and business development, preferably within the luxury hotel industry and with a strong focus on the leisure segment.
  • A proven track record of driving revenue growth, developing new business and consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • A strong understanding of luxury leisure travel, including relevant source markets, travel trends, customer behaviour and distribution channels.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, including the ability to develop compelling proposals, negotiate effectively and convert opportunities into revenue with high-end leisure clients and trade partners.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence clients, partners and internal stakeholders.
  • The ability to analyse market trends, customer behaviour, competitor activity and sales performance to identify opportunities and develop effective sales strategies.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, destination management companies, luxury travel advisors, corporate partners and direct clients.
  • A proactive approach to identifying new accounts, partnerships and revenue opportunities across leisure segments.
  • The ability to lead sales initiatives and work collaboratively with Marketing, Revenue, Operations and senior management to achieve shared commercial objectives.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management systems and sales platforms for managing accounts, tracking leads, monitoring sales activity and generating reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Fluency in English.
Responsibilities
  • Drive leisure revenue by targeting affluent travellers, luxury vacationers, families and leisure groups across key source markets.
  • Identify and leverage opportunities including holiday packages, exclusive offers, seasonal promotions and strategic partnerships to maximise revenue.
  • Develop and execute leisure-focused sales strategies for Banyan Tree Dubai and Delano Dubai, aligned with the luxury positioning and individual identity of each property.
  • Develop tailored sales initiatives, packages and promotions that appeal to different leisure segments while maximising profitability and guest satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, luxury travel advisors, destination management companies and key leisure partners.
  • Develop relationships with high-value leisure clients and VIP guests, supporting repeat business, loyalty and positive brand advocacy.
  • Monitor and analyse leisure sales performance, including bookings, revenue contribution, production and market trends.
  • Provide regular sales updates and insights, identifying opportunities and adjusting strategies to support business objectives.
  • Stay informed on leisure travel trends, emerging source markets, consumer preferences and evolving luxury travel behaviours.
  • Monitor competitor positioning, offerings and sales strategies to identify opportunities and maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Work closely with Marketing and Brand teams to develop compelling leisure campaigns, content, partnerships and promotional initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Operations to ensure a seamless guest journey from initial enquiry and booking through to the on-property experience.
  • Partner with Revenue Management and other commercial teams to optimise opportunities and maximise overall hotel performance.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working with luxury hotels, resorts, travel agencies, tour operators, destination management companies and/or luxury travel advisors.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in sales, hospitality or commercial management.
  • Experience working with hotel sales systems and commercial reporting tools.
  • Additional language skills, particularly French, German, Spanish, Arabic or other relevant international languages.
  • Established connections within the luxury travel, hospitality and leisure industry.
