Requirements
  • Graduation from a JRCERT accredited Radiologic Technologist Program
  • CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist (from state where work is being performed)
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
  • RHF-Radiology Fluoroscopy within 180 Days of hire if required at the affiliate
  • 5 years recent relevant experience
  • General knowledge of diagnostic computerized tomography principles, procedures, views, and equipment
  • Capable of performing routine CT examinations
  • Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills
  • General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite and related information systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Identify, evaluate and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions
  • Ensure the privacy of each patient’s protected health information (PHI)
  • Build collaborative relationships with peers and other healthcare providers
Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and specialized computerized tomography procedures to produce quality images for diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of injury or disease
  • Exercise sound judgment and developed clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures
  • Gain confidence and cooperation from patients and their families through competent patient assessment and effective communication
  • Adhere to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care
  • May be responsible for performing specific procedures and/or helping orient other staff to the department
