Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in event management.
  • A bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Business, or a related field is required.
  • Ability to exercise excellent judgment and make effective decisions.
  • Ability to understand and assess logistics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office software and Google Workspace.
Responsibilities
  • Plan and develop operational plans for US Open after-action projects, the US Open food service program, capital project development, and after-action report management.
  • Assist the Chief Operating Officer of the National Tennis Center and Managing Director of Event Services in planning and executing special projects.
  • Manage industry vendors and agencies to develop, troubleshoot, and complete special projects on and off site.
  • Work with Facility Operations and Courts & Grounds leadership to implement and manage structural and operational needs for US Open sponsor activations.
  • Research, analyze, and summarize after-action reports; create reports with recommended corrective actions; and assist with managing and implementing projects and initiatives for after-action meetings.
  • Organize, oversee, and monitor all phases of capital project work with the National Tennis Center Chief Operating Officer.
  • Participate in developing the US Open and National Tennis Center year-round food service program, evaluate the prior year's program against current-year objectives, and develop prioritized annual improvements.
  • Work alongside Levy to ensure concession areas requiring repair and maintenance are addressed to improve operations and support new partners.
  • Assist with procurement and buyout of furniture, fixtures, and equipment needs for major projects and maintain an up-to-date inventory system for those items.
  • Oversee Premium Experiences, including stadium court usage, private parties, and corporate outings.
  • Communicate and partner with USTA entities to ensure the success of their US Open activations and special events and carry out project initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Managing Director of Event Services and Chief Operating Officer of the National Tennis Center.
